Dear Epitome Of Evil

Next time, give your children to me, or pretty much anyone else.

Any of us would be glad to take them.

And beat the shit out of you.

Not So Wordless Wednesday - NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR KIDS EYES. AT ALL!!!!!

I work for a rather conservative oil & gas/engineering & construction company.

Extremely conservative.

On Monday, my friend Tracey and I were walking out to our cars when she stopped dead in her tracks.

She looked down...and saw this.

(for the record, it was the paper label out of a dvd case -not the dvd itself)

Just so you know.... it's Volume II of this particular series.

Things that make me shake my head

Mark's co-worker's girlfriend just had a baby.

From her initial phone call to the doctor saying "I think I'm in labor" till "Congrats! It's a healthy girl" - 4 or 5 hours. Max.

First baby.

We went thru childbirth classes and the teacher said that first time labors can go 24 plus hours.

Today in the car as Mark was telling me about his co-worker's girlfriend he said

"Remember those videos we saw in class - and some of those women were in labor for 20 or 30 hours?"

me: Yes. That is clearly etched into my mind.

Him: That would suck

Me: I kinda think so

Him: wouldn't 4 or 5 hours be great?

Me: Yeah, I'm kinda thinkin' that'd be preferable to 30 hours.

Him: 30 hours would be rough on us.

Me: (thinking Holy shit, am I glad I am not driving because I'd surely have lost control of the car. "Ummm...hon?"

Him: Well, I mean, it'd be harder on you and all, but it would suck for both of us.

Me: No comment

Him: Well it would suck for both of us. Thirty hours is a long time.

Me: No comment.

Him: What I meant is....

Me: No....really....no comment.

Oh Oh Oh, I'm On Fire.............

Not becuase I am infiintely cool....

but because of this ever-lovin-piece-of-living-hell heartburn.

Not only does it feel like my stomach is about to explode, there is molten lava churning up from my stomach, through my throat.

My son is also taking this opportunity to completely stretch out, I am certain he is moving my ribcage about 2 inches out of its normal range and at the same time he seems to be stretching out to move any and all internal organs far away from where they should be.

I have found that walking from our bedroom to the office causes me to be 95% out of breath. Getting out of bed causes me to be struggling to catch my breath. I don't know if I can make it up the stairs without stopping at least once to try and suck in some extra oxygen.

And I have approximately 8 weeks and 5 days till my due date.

********
Edited approximately 1.5 hours later
A) Heartburn - really you suck. Bad. Leave me alone. The only way I am slightly comfortable is to have about 6 pillows behing my back. But if I get up or shift slightly - HAH.
B) Neighbor children - it is now quarter till 9pm. Go play soccer somewhere else. Playing soccer in front of MY house pisses me off. Why does it piss me off? Because my dog can SEE you in front of MY house. And it pisses her off. Because she can't cuss at you - like I am - she barks. A lot. Because we have a glass front door and she likes to sit right there. She can see the stairs and keep an eye on us. But she can also watch you punks attempt to play soccer.

So here I am....

In this new place.

Far away from the old place.

I still need a place to vent. Will I be as open as I was before? I dunno.

If you received the email from me, you know why I am here.

If you didn't receive the email from me, you can read from the above that someone "discovered" my old blog. And it went over...well....like a lead balloon.

Ker-Plunk

I will continue to blog at Mama Drama. Come see me there.

But here will be more stuff. Maybe some more intimate stuff. Maybe something that I don't want to go "out there-out there". Have an embarrassing question? I'm putting that here - it won't be on the Chron's website.

Doctor's appointment today. Apparantly, my baby is very normal size.

I...on the other hand....am not.

I am ginormous.

My belly is apparantly fairly normal size. My uterus is normal size.

My ass, hips and thighs...well, they aren't.

Think hippopotomus.

Or rhinocerous.

Or any other large creature.

But you know what?

When I feel my little man moving around, see him squirming in my tummy and feel his little head poking on my right side (only - little man has a huge preference) - my ginormous ass is worth it.

Remind me of this in a few months, k?

Welcome to the new digs.
